What is a good TSH level?

BioForge works to an optimal range rather than the lab's reference flag. For TSH that is 0.5–2.0, measured in uIU/mL. A result inside the lab's normal range can still sit outside the range where most people feel and function well.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

Optimal

0.5–2.0

>4.0 · Underactive thyroid

What moves TSH

Raised by autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's), iodine deficiency, and aging. Lowered by overactive thyroid and over-replacement. Biotin supplements corrupt this test — stop biotin 72 hours before the draw.
