Iron, TIBC & UIBC
Circulating iron and the total capacity of your transport proteins to carry it. Read together with ferritin and saturation, never alone.
What the numbers mean
These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.
What moves Iron, TIBC & UIBC
High TIBC with low iron is the classic iron-deficiency pattern — the body building extra trucks because the cargo is scarce. Low TIBC with high saturation points toward iron overload. A single serum iron swings widely with your last meal and time of day; the panel as a whole is what matters.
