Albumin

Measured in g/dL

The main protein in blood. Reflects nutrition and liver output — and it is required to calculate free testosterone accurately.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

Low
<4.1
Optimal
4.2–5.0
High
>5.2 · Usually dehydration

What moves Albumin

Lowered by liver disease, kidney protein loss, inflammation, and poor protein intake. Falsely raised by dehydration or a tight tourniquet at the draw.
