Total Protein

Measured in g/dL

All the protein circulating in your blood — albumin plus antibodies. A broad snapshot of nutrition and immune activity.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

Low
<6.0
Optimal
6.5–8.0
High
>8.5

What moves Total Protein

Lowered by poor protein intake, liver disease, kidney protein loss, and gut absorption problems. Raised by dehydration, chronic inflammation, and certain blood disorders.
