Cholesterol/HDL Ratio

Measured in ratio

Total cholesterol divided by HDL. One number that carries more risk information than total cholesterol alone, because it weighs the harmful load against the protective side. This is the ratio your report prints.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

What moves Cholesterol/HDL Ratio

Improves when triglycerides fall and HDL rises — aerobic work, fat loss, less alcohol, fewer refined carbohydrates. Testosterone therapy often lowers HDL modestly and can push this ratio up even while ApoB stays fine, which is why we read both.
