Copper, RBC
Copper measured inside the red cell, where it reflects months of status instead of the last meal. We run it alongside zinc, and on any protocol that delivers copper directly under the skin rather than through the gut.
What the numbers mean
These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.
What moves Copper, RBC
Rises with copper-bearing peptides delivered under the skin, copper IUDs, copper plumbing, and estrogen or oral contraceptives. Falls with high-dose zinc, gastric surgery, and malabsorption. Injected copper bypasses the gut absorption controls that normally protect you, so the usual dietary limits do not apply. Red-cell metal intervals are method-specific — the numbers here are the ICP-MS interval; read them against the range printed on your own report, and alongside ceruloplasmin.

This page is educational and is not medical advice. Ranges are general and do not account for your history, medications or symptoms — a single number never decides a protocol. Your results are interpreted by a licensed clinician alongside everything else about you. Back to the Learning Center
