BUN & BUN/Creatinine Ratio
A protein waste product your kidneys clear, and its ratio to creatinine. The ratio separates dehydration from a genuine kidney issue.
What the numbers mean
These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.
What moves BUN & BUN/Creatinine Ratio
BUN rises with high protein intake, dehydration, and hard training — all common in this population and none of them kidney disease. A high ratio with normal creatinine usually just means you arrived thirsty. Both high together is what warrants a closer look.
