IGF-1

Measured in ng/mL — age dependent

Reflects how much growth hormone you are producing. Tracks muscle repair, recovery quality and body composition.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

Low
<101 at age 40–49 · Age bands in Section 16
Optimal
190–267 at 40–49 · Upper third of your age band
High
>267 at age 40–49 · Age bands in Section 16

What moves IGF-1

Falls with age. Lowered by poor sleep, low protein intake, liver disease, and prolonged fasting. Raised by deep sleep, adequate protein, and growth hormone secretagogues. Very high values without treatment warrant a pituitary work-up.
