What is a good Prolactin level?

BioForge works to an optimal range rather than the lab's reference flag. For Prolactin that is 4–12, measured in ng/mL. A result inside the lab's normal range can still sit outside the range where most people feel and function well.

A pituitary hormone that, when elevated, shuts down testosterone and sex drive on its own. A cheap way to rule out a serious cause.

What moves Prolactin

Raised by: pituitary tumor, antipsychotics and some antidepressants, reflux drugs (metoclopramide), underactive thyroid, chest wall injury, kidney disease, stress, nipple stimulation, recent orgasm or heavy exercise before the draw.
