Estradiol (E2)
The main estrogen in men, made from testosterone. Men need it for bone density, libido, mood, joints and heart health. Too low hurts as much as too high.
What the numbers mean
These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.
What moves Estradiol (E2)
Body fat is the biggest driver — fat tissue holds the aromatase enzyme that converts T into E2. Also raised by higher testosterone doses, alcohol, and poor liver function. Lowered by aromatase inhibitors and fat loss. Ask for the sensitive assay — the standard immunoassay is unreliable in men.
