Total Testosterone

Measured in ng/dL

All the testosterone in your blood — both the part locked to proteins and the part that is free to work. The headline number, but never the whole story.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

Low
<300 · Lab flag: <264
Optimal
500–900 · Baseline healthy: 400–800
High
>1,000 untreated · Investigate source

What moves Total Testosterone

Drops with: poor sleep, excess body fat, alcohol, opioids, chronic stress, aging, illness, testicular or pituitary injury. Rises with: prior/current anabolic steroid use. Timing matters — levels peak in the morning and fall through the day.
