What is a good ALT level?

BioForge works to an optimal range rather than the lab's reference flag. For ALT that is 10–30, measured in U/L. A result inside the lab's normal range can still sit outside the range where most people feel and function well.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

What moves ALT

Raised by fatty liver (the most common cause by far), alcohol, medications and supplements, viral hepatitis, and oral 17-alpha-alkylated steroids . Injectable testosterone at physiologic doses generally does not stress the liver.
