Lipase

Measured in U/L

A pancreatic enzyme. Baseline matters more than usual here, because GLP-1 medications can raise it.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

What moves Lipase

Raised by pancreatitis, gallstones, alcohol, kidney disease, and some medications including GLP-1s. Severe abdominal pain radiating to the back with a high lipase is a same-day emergency. A mildly high value with no symptoms is usually followed rather than treated.
