Ceruloplasmin

Measured in mg/dL

The protein that carries copper in your blood. Mostly relevant as the counterweight to zinc.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

What moves Ceruloplasmin

Falls with copper deficiency, which is most often caused by long-term high-dose zinc supplementation — the exact reason we check it in anyone running zinc. Rises with inflammation, estrogen, and pregnancy.
