ApoE Genotype

Measured in DNA — once per lifetime

A gene variant affecting how you handle fats and, separately, long-term cognitive risk. Tested once; it never changes.

What the numbers mean

These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.

Low
Optimal
E3/E3 · Most common
High
E4 carrier · Higher cardiovascular and · cognitive risk

What moves ApoE Genotype

Fixed at birth. It does not change what is possible, but it does change how aggressively we manage ApoB, blood pressure, sleep and blood sugar. Some people would rather not know this result — that is a valid choice and worth deciding before it is run, not after.
