Small-dense LDL (sdLDL)
The share of your LDL made of small, dense particles — the ones that slip into the artery wall most easily and oxidize fastest. Two people with identical LDL cholesterol can carry very different amounts.
What the numbers mean
These are the ranges BioForge works to. They are not the same as a lab's reference range, which is built from the general population rather than from people who feel well.
What moves Small-dense LDL (sdLDL)
Driven by triglycerides and insulin resistance far more than by dietary cholesterol. Falls with carbohydrate restriction, fat loss, and better insulin sensitivity. Rises with high triglycerides, low HDL, and untreated metabolic syndrome.

This page is educational and is not medical advice. Ranges are general and do not account for your history, medications or symptoms — a single number never decides a protocol. Your results are interpreted by a licensed clinician alongside everything else about you. Back to the Learning Center
